Homework Answer on Paranoid Schizophrenia Disorder

The name of the movie is “A Beautiful Mind”. It is an American biographic drama movie released in 2001. A book under the same title inspired the movie. It was about the life of John Nash. The plot of the movie is based on the arrival of John Nash at Princeton University after receiving the Carnegie Scholarship to pursue Mathematics. Although his roommate is a literature student, he also identifies colleagues pursuing math and science.

This does not diminish his desire to publish personalized ideas. As a result, he strives to publish an article based on ‘New Concept of Governing Dynamics.’ After John Nash is offered a MIT appointment, it enhances his mental capacity, as he is able to decipher codes leaving decrypters astonished. He however still believes the decryption duties are regular, boring, and below his abilities. Thus, he begins to create hallucinations and imagined people as well as events.

John Nash forms the delusions, hallucinations, and imaginations due to his mental illness and psychological disorder. They prompt him to believe he is a government official tasked with highly intelligent duties in order to achieve and sustain national security (Howard & Goldsman, 2001).Thus, the psychological disorder illustrated in this film is known as paranoid schizophrenia. The film characterizes John Nash as a delusional student engaging in bizarre behavioral patterns due to the psychological disorder.
