- The Health Status of the Community
Individual, interpersonal, community, and environmental influences all affect the health status of a community. In my community, these factors are actively involved in shaping the general health status of the community.
Individual Influences
In my community, lifestyle choices and genetics have played anintegralpart in identifying the health standings of all members.
Interpersonal Influences
My community’s health status is also influenced by the social support networks that provide support from the family, friends and community level. Additionally,employment and working conditions that a member is exposed to also predict a person’s overall health.
Environmental Influences
Pollution has been influential inpredicting community health. At high levels of exposure, the air and water contaminants have had an influence on a variety of adverse health effects in the community.
General View of the Health determinants
Of all the mentioned factors in play within my community, individual influences and the physical environments have a larger influence on the community’s health. However, community influences such as resources have had an insignificant role in influencing the health of the community.
