Implementing ulcers prevention treatments on Hospital-Acquired Pressure Ulcers (HAPU) requires a quantitative approach (Alderden, et al. 2011). Disease prevention is a medical process that capitalizes on the significance of patients’ statistics, including the rate of recovery, number of patients diagnosed with HAPU, prevalent medical cases, amount and levels of administrating drugs in the treatment process among others.

Explain why this approach is the best one to provide information for your area of interest.

A qualitative approach is the best as it aids in measuring medical progress of HAPU patients in the emergency department (ED). Record keeping is an essential discipline for a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) since it promotes ethical professionalism (Bhattacharya & Mishra, 2015). Consequently, a quantitative approach will supplement knowledge on record keeping, which would enhance hands-on skills of handling patients’ recovery using dynamic datasets made of texts, graphics, or numbers. Moreover, keeping statistics of an identified illness would aid in recommending medical procedures for similar cases in the future (Etafa et al. 2018). As such, medical records provide useful information in analyzing alien illnesses categorized under a known category of health complications. The resources that would be used for medical research would be limited with the help of HAPU statistics which are accurately recorded.
