Homework Answer on Emergency Medical Services
Emergency Medical Services are measures taken to treat conditions occurring through a sudden and unexpected insult to the body such as injury or infection. The aim of these services is to provide a prompt response to the problem in question. Possible responses include provision of appropriate first aid services and prompt transportation to the nearest and most appropriate health facility through the most appropriate method possible.
Emergency Medical services provide emergency medical care to patients who are in urgent need of it and/or who may not be able to seek emergency attention on their own. Some examples of emergency medical services include ambulance services, which are the most common, emergency and rescue squads and first aid squads. They are commonly summoned by the members of the public and are facilitated by the provision of a short and memorable emergency number, which is convenient to dial quickly.
I have had experience in the field of emergency medical services before, especially during the years I was in high school. I always sought a method to be involved in the community and volunteering was the method I cherished most to provide a contribution to make a difference. I have been involved in various volunteer clubs among them the American Red Cross Youth of which I have been a member for a few years now. In the course of my involvement, I have learnt various life skills related to emergency medical services such as performing Cardiopulmonary resuscitation. This proved essential when I served as the local lifeguard in my high school.
