Homework Answer on Chamber of Commerce
Cyber-security Bill
The United States House of Representatives voted to introduce information sharing and security provision schedule, which is the cyber-security bill. This cyber-security bill debate was raised following several hacking incidents of information, and its main aim being to prevent cyber-attacks as well as provide avenue for the federal offices to extort confidential data, without tackling the basis of the federal office cyber-security vulnerabilities (Risen, 2015).
The purpose of the bill is to enable the federal government and firms to share threat information, protect, and guard attacks against networks and computer systems. However, the bill has been broadly written to permit communication service providers to recognize, acquire, and share text messages and emails with the government, but providing exceptional laws designed to protect personal information. Privacy protections contained in the bill are meant to ensure that organizations are not offered a great deal of exception if they fail to show supportive intentions on hacker threats, and if they issue customer data unnecessarily.
In addition, the terms of the bill are intended to prevent corporations’ property and rights from unacceptable information modification. The United States government is therefore able to use the information obtained from the computer networks for conducting investigations for the underlying security hazards (Castillo, 2015). Moreover, the House proposed that the bill would provide defensive measures to online criminals in return to malware signatures, offensive codes, and computer system and network hacks.
