How should we balance the need for enhanced agricultural productivity and the need for environmental protection in regulating and taxing products such as fertilizers?

Agricultural productivity and environmental protection can be enhanced by the keeping a balance between the two this can be done by the use of the Green Growth Policy. The farmers are encouraged to use farm inputs such as the animal manure that is more environmental friendly to increase their farm productivity. Taxing of fertilizers is crucial as it discourages farmers from buying thus use manure that is cheaper and reduces production cost in farms. The government should come up with improved production methods that are eco-friendly alternatively.
