Aviation laws
Aviation laws are guidelines and regulations which are used to regulate and to guide flight, air travel, use of air space and other businesses involved in aviation industry. In most cases, aviation law are considered as international because the cut across countries in that air travel is in many cases across countries and from city to city due considered a topic of international law as they also include regulation of the business aspects of airlines which are under it.
In the international space, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which is a specialized agency of the United Nations provides rules and mediates international relations to an extent concerning aviation law. As a result, the International air transportation is managed by a complex and fragmented system of global regulatory agencies across the world.
For instance, in the United States of America and in most countries forming European, aviation law is regarded as a federal or state-level issue due regulated at national level as in the case of the United States where the states do not govern aviation industry directly but adhere to Federal laws since regulation of aviation in the US is traditionally a federal function (Scott 150). However, US is held under the same Federal authorization of jurisdiction as admiralty law, the United States Constitution provides an administration of admiralty but do not provide such for aviation law, though, States and Municipalities in the USA have some indirect regulation over aviation.
