The course on engaging and motivating students was very instrumental because it enabled me understand the strategies that promote learning. Throughout the course, it was clear that when students are motivated their engagement is high. As a result, the behaviors in class improve and they perform better in class. This is followed by increased self-esteem among the students. The class discussions were also very interesting because personally I learnt many things concerning student engagement.

For instance, lack of motivation amongst student influence the way they behave and their scores in class is also affected negatively (Savery, 2015). This is very crucial in my academic career because through the various aspects learnt in class, I now understand the best strategies to enable me acquire better results.Most importantly, the lessons learnt will enable me stay on track because they provided me the opportunity to do frequent checks and formative assessment.

This is important because I am apparently able to monitor my own progress. This is also important because it enables me understand how well I am doing and it makes me stay engaged in whatever I study.The discussions done in class were also very crucial because they enabled me create challenging but attainable assignments and activities. As a result, my potential for success is apparently clear because I already understand what I want in life.
