Aging
Aging is as natural as birth and death. Its inevitability is denotes one of the fundamental characteristics of all living things. However, this stage in the cycle of life is nothing to be feared. Sure in most cases the older we get, the less potent and active we become, but the experience of life would not be complete without it. In my opinion, this process that provides an undeniable reason to slow down in life also allows us the opportunity to have a meaningful consumption of life’s offerings. Also, while aging may slow the body down, it does not directly translate to a complete breakdown of bodily use. This state of whether one’s body can maintain significant function late into life is firmly in their grasp to decide.
As a natural process, aging presents a downside to all living things. However, the concept and rate of aging, for the human being, has at its core a link to the measure of caution employed by the individual in looking after and preserving their bodies. This is because, despite the body having a natural predisposition to a loss in cell vitality and vigor, this loss can also be caused by external factors that provide a means of damage and stress to the body’s intrinsic parts. On the contrary, the body and its constituents also stand to gain from practices that accord it the ability to revitalize easily. Therefore, while activities such as excessive ingestion of toxins such alcohol as well as drug and steroid abuse lead to the deterioration of the body, proper diets, adequate exercise and rest provide a mean to the delaying or slowing of the aging process.
