            According to (Finnegan, 2015), there are many benefits accrued from retention of the workers. When there is a high employee turnover rate, the business is usually at the risk of losing the expected profits. There is need to have an organizational culture in the company. The culture laid out will also dictate the salary and compensation of the employees, which is part of the distributive justice. This article highlights the concepts of collectivism, organizational behavior and distributive justice. I have understood the definition and role of organizational behavior, distributive justice and collectivism. Organizational behavior encompasses individual and group presentation within an organization (Finnegan, 2015). From the study there are two major theories applied to analyze organizational behavior. The internal perspective is based on the individual feelings, experiences and interactions. In order to apply this theory when I will be employed, I will have to understand the personal feelings of the employees, personal values and their experiences. External perspectives are based on the environmental factors and events. Distributive justice is concerned with the outcome of the social justice within an organization. When social justice is unequally exercised, distributive justice may not apply. The result may be high employee turnover rate. Collectivism focuses on the interdependence of every person within an organization.

According to the studies, employee justice as part of the organizational behavior is connected to company retention. Collectivism is perceived to be the representative of this relationship. To collectivists, maintaining a harmonious relationship is more significant than protecting their personal identities. Therefore, a collectivist will look at the benefits of having a harmoniums society within the work force rather than getting interested in the personal benefits accrued within the organization. The article also reviews the relationship between distributive justice and organizational behavior. According to Finnegan (2015), there is a weak relationship between individualism and distributive justice perceptions. Collectivists prefer to apply mild influence tactics such as ingratiation to respond to alleged unfairness. The approaches are applied when they need to reduce the quality of the exchange between the member and the leader. Therefore, collectivists are better suited in companies where the organizational culture attracts teamwork rather than individualistic work.

The study draws attention to the concepts through the analysis carried over various companies such as Goggle Company and other online companies. The study realized that there was a higher retention for the collectivists in relation to the individualistic. It was also realized that they was no relationship between distributive justice and individualistic. From the research it was proved that collectivists apply more restrained approaches when reacting to interactional unfairness.


From the article, it is clear that organizational behavior is paramount in any organization. Collectivism organizational behavior is positively correlated. From the study I have realized that every organization has its own challenges as there are different groups of people in the organization. Hence, when I am employed I will have the understanding of why people behave differently when in an organizational environment. I am equipped with the factors that affect job performance and commitment and employee interaction. This knowledge will I apply on the company where I will be employed to get a higher positive impact on the job structure, communication, leadership and employee performance. In order to apply distributive justice to the position I will get, I will have to understand first the existing distributive norms in the company. As a prospective manager, I will employ distributive justice in the company by ensuring that employees within the same job group are paid equally. Collectivism is necessary for existence of any teamwork. To apply collectivism in the company in future, I will ensure that there is moral and cultural conformity within the team members.
